Sympathy card - 2nd post

Image
I have another sad post for you.... and I will have a 3rd one as well.  I really hate making this type of cards... I think cards should always be for cheerful occasions but unfortunately this is not the case. It's especially hard I think so close to the holidays.  I just learned that one of my friends lost her dad.  So I made this card for her. For this card I used a freebie that was made from Simply Betty for the shooting in Newton.  I paired it up with one of the sentiment made as well from Simply Betty. For this card I used paper from Basic grey - oxford.  I used some Robin's nest dew drops as well. Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics and to which I added some stickles: And the look at the sentiment: For this card I followed this sketch: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Tuesday morning sketches  - Sketch Aud sentiments challenge  - Use any sentiment Inky impressions challenges  - Spark

Angel Donita Colored - In honor of Sandy Hook Elementary school

Today I have a few sad card to share with you.  The 1st one I made in Honor of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. I was devastated on my birthday when I heard about the tragedy.  I'm the mother of 4 kids and I could not imagine something so horrendous!  And when we heard about the courageous acts of the devoted wow. I have created something with the great digi offered for this occasion from Digital Delight . For this card I used paper from American Craft - Jolly.  I thought that even if it's such a sad occasion it was young kids and that bright colors would be the right ones for this card.  I used my standard circle and scallop circle from Spellbinder for this card.  I added some pearls and a flower from my stash and I used vintage photo distress ink on the sentiment that was a freebie from Simply Betty for this sad occasion. Here's the look of the precolored digi. And the sentiment that's so perfect for this I followed this sketch:

Dr. Digi - High score Hugh

Good evening everyone!  Today it's my hubby's b-day!  I gave him the Sassy card I had created some time ago and he loved it ;) I also managed today to get my wrapping of presents done.  I created a bunch of box easel cards to put some of the money that I'm giving to people.  I thought it was too plain to just put it in a regular card.  Of course I had never done one... so it was a bit hard at 1st to get my measurements out! So I'm showing you one and I will be showing more later. This one is for my brother.  He wanted some money to purchase a new video console.  So when I got the wonderful freebie digi from Dr. Digi it was just PERFECT!!!!  It's called High score Hugh.  You really should join up as well to their newsletter as well. For this card I used cardstock from AC Cardstock.  I also used some paper from American Craft - Hollyday.  I used some scraps as well from my stash.  I added a ribbon from American Craft.  The brad and the chipboard embellishme
