My secret...

Image
Sooooo everyone is always wondering how I do so much...  How can I have a full time job, 4 kids and manage to craft....  Of course part of the explanation is my wonderful husband!  But there's another secret... I haven't announced it on my blog yet because it wasn't  announced all over work yet... but I got a promotion this week.  I'm now a Finance Director... so yeah... pretty busy with work and everything else.  So what's my secret beside the fact that crafting keeps me sane?!?  When I saw this digi from  Create with TLC , I thought this is it!  I can show them!!!!  Are you curious yet?!? Yup... that's right... it's COFFEE!!!!!!  Looooots of wonderful coffee :D  I decided to make this a vintage card.  I used some paper from Le p'tit blog by Toga.  I used some die cut from Cuttlebug to make the corner die cuts. I colored this image with vintage photo ink.  That's all that it really needed.  And it matched the color of coffee :D I

Oh yeah... I'm not ready for it... but yes it's coming... with fall here it's a question of time before we are buried under it... yes I'm talking about "SNOW"!  Don't know about you but I really hate that white stuff ever since I have to shovel it!!!! But this cute digi really can make the joy of childhood come back to life! I have won this week (YAY for me so very happy!!!!!) at Guylou's challenge.  I just had to use one for this week's challenge... ok... I have to be honest... I chose one just to be able to participate lol :D This week the challenge is about the Weather.  So I figured snow would be a good one. To make this card I used paper from My mind's eye - Be merry.  The card stock is from Recollection.  I used also a new technique... I always wanted to add some snow and I discovered a product called Flower Soft when I went to my local scrapbook store (Scrapbook central).  It is soooooo much fun... it really looks like snow wit

Some wishful humor :D

This afternoon I went digi shopping.  I had seen a one of my fellow DT Nataliya from OSAAT use a digi from Rick St-Denis and fell in looooove!  And yesterday and today he had a special if you could guess the proper discount code... well... I DID!!!!!  And I went SHOPPING!  It really helps with the cold lol and I'm sticking to that excuse! So of course I just couldn't resist... I just HAD to play with one of his images.  I found a few challenges that I could participate in and there I went creating! I decide to go the humor route... let me explain.  I sometimes wish I could see what my hubby is thinking... so when I saw this genie... I thought this would be a wonderful wish... and I got my answer with my sentiment rofl. The digi that I used for this card is DJJIN. To make this card I used paper from Authentique - Glowing and some left overs from another project.  I went with a white, black and green theme because I wanted to enter a challenge that was black + white

Hello Everyone!  Today at  One stitch at a time challenge , our challenge is a bingo!  Hope you will have having fun with this one!  It's a pretty easy one to go along with actually. For my card I had the chance of working with the fabulous image from Kaz Kraftz called Gothic Gal.  I'm really happy because I really liked the image but wasn't  too sure what to do with it... and then the inspiration came along as well as a wonderful sentiment that I think was just perfect for this image! For this image I had the perfect set of paper.  Now this is the reason I have so much paper lol :D  I have used the Immortal Love by DCWV.  It's perfect for this type of gothic image I find.  I cut out the paper under the digi with Label 4 and the sentiment and the paper under the sentiment with Label 21 from Spellbinder.  I added some Robin's Nest Dew Drops.  There's a ribbon from Michael as well as a little charm from my stash. Here's a closer look at the digi t

Well there's one good thing to being sick... I didn't do any chores... and I got to do lots of cards today. I had gotten a wonderful digi from Dutch Copic Blog, it's a special Saturated Canary digi that's specially made for this challenge.  I had yet to use it... and this was the perfect time to do so. I used paper from Basic Grey - Konnichiwa.  The ribbon comes from my stash.  The sentiment is from Nina J. May.  The flower is by recollection found at Michael. Here's a look at the digi that I colored with my copics. To make this cute card I followed this sketch: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Het canary blog  - use the special digi Sweet sketch wednesday  - Sketch Crafting for all seasons  - Things with wings Divas by design challenge  - Lots of layers ( this is probably one of the cards that I have made that has the most layers ;D) So that's it for me for today!  I'm off to bed.  Hopefully I'll
