Progressive challenge - May last minute

Image
OMG I'm sooooo last minute... and have soo much trouble blogging.  So anyway here's 2 progressive challenge before they are over! The 1st one is the great Deedee Anderson one that you can find here  this time around I decided to make a little ICAD with my make and it's done with some left over paint from my gelli plate as well as some left over little papers.  The image was colored with my copics.  I edged all around it with some prima chalk ink called old road.  I added some bling as well. For my other progressive challenge make it's for the Outlawz freebie progressive challenge .  This month the image was a great one from ppinky dolls.  And it's the 1st month that I realized that there's a progressive challenge there!!! So had to play.  Gave me the chance to get another Christmas card done as well. The paper is Jolly from American craft.  I used my Nellie's ovals as well.  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC that's it for me....

Klub kidz - RSD

Image
I wasn't supposed to post today over at Sparkle and glitter with rick ... but yesterday I finally got playing with the great  Klub Kidz sheet .  Initially I wanted to make a cardboard altered book.  But then I figured that this would not be interactive.  I really wanted to be able to capture some of their thoughts as well as handwriting.  I think it will be great fun to look back on later! Now initially I made 8 inserts for this album.... but with all the collage of paper plus the tags only 4 fitted well.  So I have already 4 inserts ready to go! Here's the top of it.  The faces I made using a mold with toilet paper or with clay.  I painted the face with some nail polish :)  I used a little heart button for the closure. Here's a look at the side hanging charm that I made: The back with my little handwritten date and such.  The orange enamel dots are pony beads that I melted! Here's the inside of it. Each kid as a little section with some tags and some smas

short little post

Image
I'm going to be doing some very short little posts... I've been doing some ATCs to include in pocket letters and of course being a card maker initially I just can't seem to not put an image on mine... so I'm sharing a few that I made to enter miscellaneous challenges and I'm about to miss the deadlines... yeah.... haven't been blogging much it seems  I used to blog over 70 times a month and now I can barely do 50.... yikes... you can tell that I'm not out of the woods yet. Anyway this is not about me it's about my little makes! So here's my 1st one for the from the heart progressive challenge I though this would make a fab little ATC  For this I tore the sentiment out and edged it with some dysty concord.  I also tore a few strips of papers as well.  The background was made using my gelli plate (for the 1st time!) My next one is using a fab little image from A day for daisies, I haven't played in awhile and thought it would be fun to do so

Heart on a String journal page - Faery Ink inspiration

Image
Heart on String  is such a great image to use in a journal page! And it's my inspiration for Faery Ink today. And it's an image that actually got me out of bed and journaling at past 11PM!!!!  Yup just needed to be out of me and unto a page.  Do journaling do that to you?  I've found so far that I just get this idea that just needs to come out and be put to paper!!!!  It's like it's got a life of it's own.  And this is what happened with this great image! I have to admit that I felt like my heart was making way too much sound.... and beating too fast and I just wanted peace and quiet and silence both in my head and in my body.... but it was better to journal this than do what was going on in my mind at the time...

The East Wind - Lucy Loo long trip

Image
Oh my... I have totally FALLEN over unto the mixed media side... so much so that now I'm giving list of items to my family members to collect for me.... yup that's how bad it is!  Found out this week how to create albums using pop tabs... so called dad for that and well everything else in between.  Good thing that my family loves me and realize that I have nothing to do but watch videos and get ideas... and that just gets my mind going lol Anyway I'm here to share with you a make that I did for the  The east Wind  using the brand new release image from the store called Lucy Loo long trip .  And I've been having fun doing ICAD - supposed to be an index card a day... it's more like once in awhile lol but it's such a fun shape and size!!!!  Once you start you will love it.  It's just a bit bigger than ATC so PERFECT! I used my Gold champagne and my iced coffee as well as my iced rosé gelattos.  I used some book papers and some stamps that I had kept from

ICU - RSD

Image
Hello!  I'm here just to share for fun a little make that I did.  My mojo's been out the door because Monday I learn from the psychiatrist that the medication that I was taking wasn't the right one... that explains why I wasn't getting better and actually felt worst in some aspect.  The good news is that I had made some change myself by doing really NOTHING which meant that the darker thoughts stayed away even if I was feeling sad and tired. And of course I also learned on Sunday the dismantling of the SBS team and that bummed me out as well...  It's a good thing that I'm doing mixed media these days... playing with paints and getting all dirty is really helping my mood and letting me cope better with stuff... I can't do much but the little I do brightens up my day. Anyway that's not why I'm here... I'm kinda in a zombie mood... maybe because I'm feeling a bit like one?!?  That actually might be close to the truth.... and I have used a lo

Dreaming of spring - Art by Mi Ran inspiration

Image
It's spring here!  Finally it's been pretty cold last week but this week it's better and what a perfect image to use for a card right now right?!? The image that I used is  Dreaming of spring  and I thought she would be totally perfect for a little thank you card! For this card I made again another flower by hand.  I made the center as well and I'm really happy with the result.  Since it was big I left the rest of the card fairly CAS because I really wanted the great image to have the attention.

Boxing Betty - Last DT make

Image
Hello everyone!  This is a pretty sad post as it will be my last one with Simply Betty.  The DT was dismantled.... I'll miss it because it was great fun!  Oh well more time for other creative venue right?!? Anyway here's my make with the great Boxing Betty.  When I saw this digi I totally envisioned her in a ring.  So for the 1st time I drew something... I don't usually do that... but I had fun doing it.  I used my new neocolors for the page with the come watch the fight.  I did some texture using some old dress patterns that I scrunged up!!! Learning soooooo much right now and having fun trying it out... just wish I had more energy to do stuff....  Used to be able to do so much more... but I digress. Here's my make.  It was colored with my copics.  The ring background was done using my pan pastels. Here's a closer look at my scrunged up page.  I have never done graffiti so I had to practice lol.  I actually had to get up to put this layout on paper because i

Top Tip Tuesday- Hair colour

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at  Top Tip Tuesday  and this time it's all about hair color! There's now a DT call going on over at the challenge!!!  So come over and join :)  Such a great group of ladies! And the great sponsor for this challenge is  If you know and follow me you know how much I loooooove Lucy Loo and love coloring her.  I have fun with her hair and I have done it in all sorts of colors.  The image that I used this time around is: Lucy Loo close up Tip: I will share with you something that I have found out by watching a great youtube video.  I really love journaling and journals can get pricey.  Sometimes you find great journals at a reduced price at bookstores and such  this is the case of this one. However the pages are much thinner than the regular art/mixed media journals.  So my trick to you is glue 2 pages together(using a regular glue stick).  You can prep the entire book and then have fun.    And here's wh

SOOOOOOO PROUD of me!

Image
Ok so this is probably the only post of this kind because it's really rare that I'm super happy with my work but this time I'm totally over the moon with the results of my last day of crafting!!!! I redid my journal cover so from the before to the after picture!!!!  I'm beyond happy!  I can't believe how well it turned out with just paper, cardboard and some toilet paper molded pieces (all the bolts, nuts and screws). Isn't that a HUGE difference?!?  I can't believe that I made it!!! Here's the video tutorial that I followed in case you want to try this out... yeah... I'm not that clever to think of this myself lol And here's a closer look at that cover all by itself.  I used a bunch of dies from Cheery Lynn dies I have quite a collection of the gears and steampunk stuff.  I did some texture using my crafter's companion stencils.  The paint that I use is decoart (2 super old bottles from my MIL's stash that I put water in to

Gerda stamps - Stinkin' Cute

Image
Ok so I'm a total IDIOT.... yup you read it IDIOT I printed out the digi and colored it up .... and then put it on an ATC to use in a pocket letter.... then I checked the name and the new Gerda image for the progressive challenge is called Stinkin' Cute.... well.... too late I had already made this little guy into a squirel.... can you say OOOPS?!? Anyway I thought it came out cute so I'm leaving it this way and I know that I will be making an impression over at the challenge blog since I will be the only one with a brown skunk.... I made my very own background using a gelli plate (that was my very 1st time using it!!!  and I still have to try it again... I was a bit hesitate so purchased a class and have to watch it now) and I used some washi tapes as well as some bling from Queen and co.  The sentiment is from Stampendous stamp. I'm entering this little ATC in the following challenges: Gerda Steiner Designs  - progressive challenges aud sentiments challe

Doodle Pantry - Dahlia

Image
I'm here for a very short post.  I realize that I don't blog a lot... I seem to have trouble concentrating still and just takes me forever to write.  So maybe if I blogged shorter post that would be better?  Wonder how many of you really would mind.... I do have some followers that come by and say hello following what I write (and you guys totally ROCK my world). Anyway I'm here with a new release image set from  Doodle Pantry  it's called  Dalhia colored I have some tags for a swap to make and I thought this would be a totally FAB image for one of the tags.  I also figured that I would use a precolored image that would make it faster :)  YUP got to say with Laurie's coloring.... why would I make my own?!?  It's just so fast and wonderful but of course you can also color your own if you want.

SLS Lines - New release - May 2015

Image
It's time for the new release over at  SLS Lines Digital stamps .  For this new release I have done 2 images on the same project :)  I decided to play with my brand new We r memory keepers fusing tool and make a bookmark that would be waterproof for when I read next to the pool :)  It's so much fun playing with this new tool! So here's my project using on one side the super cute  Kitty Princess  and on the other side  Grumpy cat  that looks a lot like me lol The tags were done using some tattered angel sprays.  I used some bling on this one and the great sentiment is from  Create with TLC .  The image was colored using my copics.  I added some twine to the top to hang over the top.  I used a punch to cut the hole out of the plastic.  And here's the other side of it.  I just had to put a little handwritten sentiment on the side as well as the torn sentiment from  Create with tlc So now it's fun because it has 2 sides... depending on my mood lol I'm en

Life

Image
Hello!  This is an unusual post for me... one just for the fun of it.  It seems that all I do is DT work.  Not that I mind I totally love doing it but it was fun to do a little project just because. My dad purchased some children cardboard books for me that are 2 3/4 inch x 2 3/4 inch.  He is my go to person to get stuff for cheap for me from garage sales and stuff.  His request this time was that I make a little album for him.   So I decided to make one about Life (in French since my dad is French speaking only).  I search on the net for some cool quotes for this. And I got a big order of fab stamps from Unity today!!!  I was super excited to start playing with them.  Their challenge was my inspiration for colors And here's my little book This is the front and the back of the book Here's the 1st page using the cute stamp from Counts as fruit.  I thought that was a good illustration of simple pleasures! And here's the 2nd page I used the Trust your soul
